I create unique, upcycled glass sculptures that are as functional as they are beautiful. My love for thrift shopping, graphic design, and the great outdoors collided in the best way when I first saw glass yard totems. That “aha!” moment turned into an obsession—blending artistry with function, giving new purpose to gorgeous vintage glass while ensuring each piece is sturdy, weather-resistant, and made to be enjoyed for years to come.
My journey started when my yard totems became stunning centerpieces at my sister, TK Thorne’s book launch event. From there, inspiration kept striking. I designed a custom side table next to my reading chair because I needed one “just so high” for my coffee. Then, out of frustration with leaky tiki torch canisters, I created tiki torch lamps that not only function flawlessly but also stand out as striking yard art. A happy customer who bought two tiki lamps asked, “Do you make bird feeders?” Well, now I do! Add candlestick holders to the mix, and here I am, running an Etsy shop filled with functional glass sculptures I love making.
I see each piece as a work of art, not just something useful. Every sculpture is thoughtfully designed and built with exceptional craftsmanship to last for years. I’ve tested my adhesive since 2009, ensuring my creations withstand heat, cold, and the elements. I also drill a hole in the base of my tiki lamps so they stand perfectly upright—because details matter.
When someone brings one of my pieces home, they’re getting more than just a glass creation—they’re getting a true statement piece, designed to be as durable and well-crafted as it is unique.
One of my favorite things to say is, “I have a shop on Etsy!” It still amazes me that my work has found homes all over the USA. My very first Etsy sale? A Facebook friend from Colorado—all the way across the country!
